Muppet Show AppearancesEdit
The transition from the Muppet Theater's Swampy Banjo Stand to the Banjo Stand in higher Stages is inspired by The Muppet Movie, where Kermit bookends the film with "The Rainbow Connection". The first time he sings in a swamp, and second, in a nice dry soundstage prone to set collapse.
The Banjo is a popular instrument on The Muppet Show, played by a number of characters. For example: Rowlf plays the Banjo when he sings "The Cat Came Back" in Episode 523.
"Jim" sits in the pit orchestra and plays Banjo during the closing credits of "Muppets: Sex and Violence". Does he look familiar? It's the doppelgänger of Jim Henson!
